Organized by Gata Events & Promotions in collaboration with Zaarour Club, “The Lakeside Festival – Zaarour”, kicked off last week in Zaarour during an official opening ceremony attended by the event organizer Mrs. Sandra Ghattas – the Managing Director of Gata – and Mrs. Carol El Murr, the CEO of Zaarour Club. The ceremony was also attended by many political, entertainment, social and media figures, and featured a live concert, launching of a hot air balloon and other captivating shows.
“The Lakeside Festival – Zaarour” was the first summer festival held around a lake in Lebanon, started on Friday 5th of August and continued until Sunday 7th of August 2016.
The event included several sections:Exhibition area for local designers, craftsmen and miscellaneous brands; a flower market; a fresh food market by Souq El Tayeb and a food and beverage trucks and stands’ area with a wide variety of appetizing snacks, bites, sweets and refreshing drinks; as well as a large children’s area with numerous games and activities. The festival featured rowing boats for a pleasant ride around the lake, in addition to a hot air balloon that took people up in the air to enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire area.
A fun-packed entertainment program also welcomed visitors: live concerts by young Lebanese bands and famous DJs, live dance performances and classes, live entertainment shows and parades for children by mini studio, live demos and exciting shows by different brands, live sports shows, dog training shows, and the cherry on top, and a spectacular firework showed the magic of Zaarour.
