Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel, Beirut, has been awarded the Safehotels premium certificate for the second consecutive year.

To know better about this award, BeautyStyle&Co interviewed  Radisson Blu’s General Manager Mr. Francois Galoisy:

• What is the importance of this Award?

Safehotels is a globally recognized security consultancy. Its Premium certification is awarded to business hotels in major cities, which sustain a high international security level. These hotels have invested in obtaining qualified equipment to match the highest security and safety levels with regards to surveillance, safe deposits, alarm and key systems and communication. This recognition gives credibility to our guests and clients when it comes to their safety and security on the hotel premises. This is especially true when it comes to the responsiveness of the Blu team in case of a crisis.

• Radisson Blu is the only hotel that won this award. What have it added to the hotel and its guests?

In Lebanon, Radisson Blu Martinez is the first and only hotel to have been awarded this certificate. We gain a lot from this certificate. First and most importantly, our guests appreciate the safety and security measurements put in place and they make sure to let us know their opinion. It gives an added value to our service and enhances the guest experience at the hotel.

• What are the standards that have been relied upon to provide the prize ?

We have been audited according to a long checklist that the Safehotels team has put in place. The checklist covers various points. There are technical requirements to be met, machines and cctv to be in place, the fire system, smoke detectors, water sprinkles. This is just to name a few of the systems that Radisson Blu is using. Other requirements include staff trainings, awareness and responsiveness to any incident that might occur in our public areas or in back-of-the-house areas such as the kitchen, the generator area, or simply concerning the chemicals that our housekeeping team uses.

• In your opinion, why was any other hotel in Lebanon unable to win this prize?

Being a globally recognised security consultancy, the Safehotels Premium certification is only awarded to business hotels which sustain a high international security level. It is only given to hotels who have invested in obtaining qualified equipment to match the highest security and safety levels with regards to surveillance, safe deposits, alarm and key systems and communication.

• Do you aspire for more awards?

Earlier this year, the hotel received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. The achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have achieved consistently stellar reviews on TripAdvisor over the course of a year. Recipients of the Certificate of Excellence include accommodations, eateries and attractions across the globe that have continually delivered quality customer experiences. We are always on the lookout for obtaining even more prestigious awards that reflect our commitment to our vision.

• What are the most important services that distinguish the Radisson Blu Hotel in Beirut from others?

As we are mainly a corporate hotel, we have invested in our business facilities and services by uplifting our meeting rooms and increasing our WIFI to 30mbps for all in-house guests and meeting delegates. We have maintained our level of service and our clients appreciate that. They clearly voice their opinions online by writing reviews on online platforms such as TripAdvisor, booking.com, etc. which put us at sixth place on TripAdvisor among 120 hotels in Beirut.
