Eucerin launched a well-known anti-wrinkle formula with color pigments for a unified, radiant complexion.

Beauty Style and co. interviewed Expert Stefanie Conzelmann, Head of Product Development Eucerin:

With the new Hyaluron-Filler CC Cream, Eucerin steps into a new segment, offering women more than anti-wrinkle technology. Why did you decide to combine the well-known Hyaluron-Filler with the properties of a CC Cream?

Anti-aging today is more than fighting wrinkles. From intensive discussions and exchanges in our network of scientists and dermatologists we know that consumers do not only wish for a cream that effectively fights wrinkles but also desire a more even and radiant look. Combining anti-aging properties with a cream that corrects the complexion does just that: it creates smoother skin and a smoother skin tone – both helping us look younger and more radiant.

• Did you change the formula of the Hyaluron-Filler Cream?

The CC Cream contains the same active ingredients as the Other Hyaluron-Filler Creams: high and low molecular hyaluronic acids that care for the skin from the inside and outside and glycine saponin that stimulates the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid. In addition, the CC Cream contains color pigments that make the skin look unified and smooth right after application. Of course, the cream contains SPF 15 with UVA filters to protect the skin from premature aging.

• What effect does hyaluronic acid have on our skin?

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in our skin; a component in the extracellular matrix of the epidermis and dermis that plumps up the volume from the inside. This is why a specific quality of hyaluronic acid is often used by dermatologists as a filler substance and for injections.

• The formula also contains glycine saponin. How does this help against wrinkles?

From the age of 25, the skin’s natural deposit of hyaluronic acid decreases. Our skin becomes less firm and the first wrinkles appear. On the one hand, we can plump up the wrinkles with short-chained hyaluronic acid that penetrates deeply into the skin and works in the inner layers of the epidermis. On the other hand, we can stimulate the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid by adding glycine saponin, a natural soy germ extract.

• So with hyaluronic acid and glycine saponin the formula fights wrinkles. How does the cream correct the complexion?

We added special light-reflecting color pigments to the formula. They melt on the skin immediately and give it a unified, fresh complexion and a more even look.

• What other benefits does the cream offer?

The cream provides the skin with moisture, plumps up even the deepest wrinkles from the inside and creates a radiant, unified look.
